On April 27, 2021, the Sultana Historical Preservation Society, Inc. will officially kick-off its capital campaign to raise $7.5 million dollars to establish a permanent museum to remember and honor those who were on the Sultana. Once completed the museum will move from its current location of under 1000 square feet to a 22,000 square foot facility.The plans for the new museum are being developed by the Haizlip Studio, which has developed museums all over the United States. The Sultana Historical Preservation Society, Inc. now has donations and pledges totaling in excess of $1.2 million dollars.
